Formal Elements-
This photograph uses Texture in the formal elements as you can see the detailing on the 'keep left' sign, this gives the impression of age and weakness of the man made product, as it has been overcome by the force of nature over the years. You can also see the roughness and the worn down texture of the wall by the contrast of the leaves to support the idea of man made wont live forever, whereas nature will be catching up behind. |
Formal Elements-
This photograph highlights the element of Tone as you can see the different variation of colour which reflect the contrast and mood of my photograph. I like the way the two striking contrasted colours create almost a barrier-like feel to the way nature and man are presented, almost equal. My favourite part about the photo is the isolated green leaf as that instantly catches your attention. The darker colours combined with the lighter shades also support this idea. |
Formal Elements-
This photograph uses Colour in the formal elements as there are several different colours, tones and shades in the image. This has an impact on the viewer as its captivating and draws you in. |
Urban Grunge - The rusted pole taken over by twigs and leaves.
Texture-
This photograph shows us an old wooden shed entangled with overgrowing branches and bush. I liked creating the idea that nature is almost devouring the old wooden structure, suggests age and weakness. Urban Grunge, Texture - entangled by branches.

Formal Elements
Texture - This is one of my favourites as it is a very clear representation of a metal man made object, overcome by the force of nature. I especially like the blues contrasted against the rust. You can get a real sense of age and roughness on these objects. |
Urban Grunge - man made metal object surrounded by natural environment. This fits the dystopian ideology.
Contrast-
This photo shows us a man made, metal bin which has slowly developed over time to be natures victim. I like the way the green has been juxtaposed with the brick red as it reflects the mood. Contrast
